Enable Passphrase Protection

Choose a passphrase to encrypt the portal's data. All collaborators will need this passphrase to open the portal. Data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM using PBKDF2 key derivation.

Important: there is no recovery. If you lose the passphrase, you lose the data. Keep a secure record of it (password manager recommended).
Your data is at risk. It's stored only in this browser and has never been backed up. Clearing cookies or browser data will erase it. It's been days since your last backup. Export a JSON snapshot or set up Gist sync to prevent data loss.

Access Protection (end-to-end encryption)
When enabled, all portal data is encrypted with a passphrase before being stored locally or synced to the Gist. Uses AES-256-GCM with PBKDF2 key derivation ( iterations). The passphrase is held only in memory and never transmitted.
Team Deployment
Generate a customized index.html file with your Gist ID and an encrypted version of the token baked in. Team members who open this file only need the passphrase — they never have to configure Gist ID or token. Ideal for client-facing deployments.
Shared Storage (optional)
Configure a GitHub Gist to sync data across team members. All users with this Gist ID and Token will read/write the same data. Token is stored in your browser only.
This portal is running in Team Deployment mode. Gist ID and token are baked into the HTML and decrypted by the passphrase. End users never need to touch these fields.
Create a new gist at gist.github.com and paste its ID here (or leave blank for local-only mode).
Create at github.com/settings/tokens → Generate new token → "gist" scope. Required for read/write sync.
Data Repair (admin)
Use these if your Closed Positions show VP names in the Priority column, or if data looks shifted. These tools modify your shared Gist — all users will see the changes within 30 seconds.
